History of OCEP:
The OCEP Eye Clinic opened its doors first on June 12, 2021.
Here are some pictures from that first clinic, which was organized in the middle of the pandemic.

Since that first clinic, we have been regularly organizing clinics on weekends (except for holiday weekends) and some weekdays as well, depending on Eye Care Provider availability.
Patients are referred to us from community clinics, other institutions and private practices in Orange County, but we also see patients from the larger Southern California region, including patients from Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego.
The initial clinic started with basic eye equipment including slit lamp, indirect ophthalmoscope, vision charts, instruments for eye pressure check. We now have the state of the art equipment, including Heidelberg Spectralis OCT, Anterion OCT, Norlase indirect laser ophthalmoscope, Canon Fundus Camera, digital vision charts, digital teaching aids, etc.

We have access and capability to provide intravitreal injections including Eylea, Lucentis, Vabysmo and Eylea HD.
Free Eye Surgeries:
Since we started in 2021, we have been providing free surgeries to patients who need them. Community clinics and private practices refer patients to us who we then evaluate and take up for free eye surgeries by expert surgeons who perform specialized and latest procedures on the patients, while volunteering their time and expertise.
We now provide advanced eye surgeries to patients who need them, with surgeries performed at the surgical suites at the Advanced Eye Medical Group in Mission Viejo, with Dr. Faris Ghosheh, Dr. Matthew Wade, Dr. Marjan Farid and Dr. Sarah Ahmed being the surgeons.

New innovations continue to take place in the eye care space. As we expand our work, we will continue to access more diagnostic machines, as well as newer surgical capabilities.
